Children’s Activity Book Designer (Interior + Cover) – KDP

I publish a range of children’s activity books and am expanding the series with two additional titles. I am looking for a freelancer to produce both interior layouts and full print-ready covers using existing Adobe InDesign files from previously published books.
This is production and assembly work using established templates, not a redesign project.

Scope of Work:
Work directly from supplied Adobe InDesign (INDD) interior files
Duplicate the structure of existing books
Replace activities page-by-page while maintaining the established layout and style
Source suitable puzzles, colouring pages, and activity content from commercially licensed stock libraries
Prepare complete interiors ready for Amazon KDP print
Create matching KDP full-wrap covers based on existing titles in the series

Books:
2 activity books
Age ranges: 5–7 and 9–11
Approx. 60 interior pages per book
Black & white interiors
One activity per page
Full cover design required (front, spine, back)
Image & Puzzle Licensing
Images and puzzles should be sourced from commercial stock libraries.
Preview/comp images may be used during layout — I will licence and purchase final assets myself once layouts are approved.
You will provide:
Source links or references for all assets used.
Required Skills
Strong Adobe InDesign experience
Proven experience preparing Amazon KDP interiors and covers
Understanding of KDP trim sizes, bleed, spine calculation, and export settings
Experience working from existing templates and master pages
Book or publication layout experience

Deliverables:
Final INDD working files
IDML backup files
Packaged project folders
KDP-ready interior PDFs
KDP-ready cover PDFs
List of asset sources used

Budget:
£500 per book (fixed price) including cover.
Opportunity for ongoing work if the first projects are successful.

Location :
UK-based freelancers preferred.
