Description
The book's tone is urgent, sharp, and highly relatable. It helps everyday people understand digital threats through real-world stories. The design should balance authority, emotional pull, and modern clarity.
What I Need:
1. Book Cover Design (for 3 formats)
Front + back cover for:

You will develop three different concepts (themes, fonts, color schemes)
I’ll choose one to be finalized and delivered in all required formats (print-ready, KDP-compliant)
2. 10 Book Mockups for Marketing
Realistic, professional mockups (e.g. in-hand, desk, tablet view, social media scenes)
For use in promos, social media, and press kits
3. Amazon A+ Content (10 visual panels)
Based on final book design style
I’ll provide layout direction and text content
Deliver ready-to-upload graphics optimized for Amazon listings
4. Social Media Visual Kit
1 Twitter/X profile logo (clean, book-branded)
1 Twitter/X banner image
1 LinkedIn background banner (desktop/mobile friendly)
Requirements:
No AI-generated work — only original, experienced design
Strong portfolio in book design (nonfiction preferred)
Familiarity with Amazon KDP dimensions and A+ Content layout
Modern, minimal, emotionally resonant design style
I Will Provide:
Book title, subtitle, author name
Sample covers I like
Brand tone and keywords
Draft back cover text
Visual direction for all deliverables
Budget: $70 total

My Clarification Questions Martin;
1. Do you have a preference for imagery (e.g., symbols, metaphors) you want avoided or included?
2. Will the Amazon A+ panels follow a comparison-style layout or storytelling flow?
3. Do you already have branding (fonts/colors) or should I propose from scratch?
4. Would you like the mockups tailored for specific platforms (e.g., Instagram vs. Twitter)?
5. Should I include space for endorsements or reviews on the back cover?
Martin E.06 May 2025Thanks for your thoughtful questions! Here are my responses:
Imagery Preferences: I'm leaning towards conceptual or thematic imagery that evokes the 'sharp, smart' feel of a cybersecurity book – think modern, perhaps abstract representations of networks, data, protection, or digital intelligence. I'd like to avoid overly clichéd imagery (like very generic padlocks or overtly cartoonish hacker figures unless done in a very sophisticated, ironic way). I'm open to your interpretations of how to best capture the theme.
Amazon A+ Panels: I envision the A+ content being a mix, but likely leaning more towards a storytelling flow that highlights key aspects, themes, or benefits of the book, rather than direct product comparisons. I will provide the core text/message for each of the 10 panels, but I'm looking for your design expertise to bring them to life visually. If you have suggestions on how to best structure this flow, I'm open to ideas.
Branding (Fonts/Colors): This is a new project, so you should propose branding (fonts/colors) from scratch as part of the three initial concepts. While I have a preference for a white, yellow, and black mix as a starting point, I'm very open to your professional recommendations if you feel other combinations or accents would better serve the 'sharp, smart cybersecurity' theme for the chosen concept.
Mockups Tailoring: For the 10 mockups, I'm looking for a variety of general-purpose realistic scenes that can be used across different marketing channels (e.g., the book on a tablet, a physical copy in a setting, a stack of books, etc.). If a few of these can be easily optimized for common aspect ratios (like square for Instagram, or wider for a website banner) within the scope of the 10, that would be a bonus, but a set of versatile, high-quality general mockups is the primary goal.
Back Cover Endorsements: Yes, please definitely include space for endorsements or short reviews on the back cover. I will provide the text for the blurb, author bio, and any available endorsements. If final endorsements aren't ready when you're designing, we can use placeholder text, but the layout should accommodate them.
