Bi-monthly Magazine Layout based on current template.

I need help with an ever increasing work load! As a freelance designer myself I’m looking to outsource some regular design work (should the cost and designer be right). The first job I’m looking for help with is the design of a current fitness/sports based publication. It’s been running for just over a year so the design is pretty much bedded in (eg. most pages are just re-done with new content, the design stays the same) with the opportunity to design creative layouts on features/articles.

Below I’ve tried to outline the project but if you have any questions please ask. Please pay close attention to the requirements before bidding.

Description:
Subscriber only, Bi-monthly.

Size: A4

52 pages: Approximately 13 ad pages (supplied), 39 editorial pages (The layout stays the same on approximately 29 of these pages, the rest need designing differently each issue).

Text and images supplied.

Mix of double page spreads, single page features and lengthy interviews.

Design style in the vein of FourFourTwo and football club magazines (Inside United Magazine, Manchester City Magazine etc).

Process:
Content supplied at least 5 working days before deadline (usually with a weekend in the middle) via email or Dropbox.

Content supplied in folders which cross reference with browser based flat plan system.

Takes on average 35 working hours.

Next issue due at printers mid-April.

Turnaround is fairly prompt.

Previous issues artwork created in Indesign CS5 utilising Master Pages and Paragraph/Character Styles. These files will be made available to the appointed designer.

Packaged artwork to be supplied at the end of the job. I’ll be creating the PDF for print.

Requirements:
CS5 Indesign (plus Photoshop and Illustrator where relevant).

Previous experience of editorial design/desktop publishing.

Fast and accurate.

Highly organised.
