Australian Book Designer / Typesetter Required

I am seeking an experienced Australian-based book designer to professionally format and prepare a small illustrated book for print.

The manuscript is approximately 21 pages and includes text together with a small number of images throughout. The book has a gift-book style rather than a traditional novel format and requires an elegant, professional presentation.

Scope of work:
• Interior layout and typesetting
• Placement of supplied images
• Chapter formatting and design
• Preparation of print-ready PDF files
• Cover design (front, spine and back cover)
• Advice on suitable book size and printing specifications

Deliverables:

• Print-ready interior PDF
• Print-ready cover PDF
• Editable source files
• Full rights transferred upon completion

Applicants must be based in Australia and have experience designing books for print. Please provide examples of previous book design work, particularly illustrated books, gift books, heritage publications or similar projects.
