Description
Experience Level: Expert
Require a designer to complete a halfway designed memoir. There are an additional 20-40 spreads (some are just visual) that need typesetting and photos placement. Currently the designed pages are balanced about 60% image and 40% text. This is a highly visual memoir.
I need you to use Indesign CC 2019 to create it, and to send me the open files at the end of the project, so that I can post-edit if required.
When you set up the document, bear in mind that the layout should be compatible with http://www.blurb.com/magazine because this is where it will be printed, using the 'premium magazine settings'. So, you will need to use the Indesign Plug-in available here: http://www.blurb.com/pdf-to-book
I would expect to approve each 5 spreads as a PDF as they are produced and be able to suggest a few changes, which once approved, you can then send to me as an Indesign file that I can insert into the main Indesign file.
The content we are working with is in a word document with the text and images laid out, which you can use as a reference. A design and typography style has already been established, (however no templates exist) so you would be expected to interpret this into the remaining pages and ensure that there is a consistency.
I have the high res images in Dropbox for you to use.
Your final deadline for the last hand over of Indesign files is the end of May. However, if you can make the deadline sooner this would be much better for me. Please let me know your ideal proposed timings for each set of 5 spreads.
You can view the half completed document here: https://indd.adobe.com/view/ce61f6b1-56e1-4db3-ba52-f9955e8db5fc (Note: the pink dots and red text you see is not design style, merely markers of incomplete text information for the author to change.)
