Description
These aren't cut-and-trim videos. They’re full visual experiences... quirky, surreal, and science-rich explainers told through voiceover, stick figures, custom props, and AI-generated art.
We already have one amazing editor... now we’re looking for another who can match the style perfectly so every video feels like it came from the same hand. You’ll work from a script and voiceover... and help bring complex ideas to life with clever visuals and motion.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Create 1 video per week (10–13 min long)
* Use Photoshop and After Effects to build scenes
* Generate visuals using DALL·E, MidJourney, or similar tools (training provided if necessary)
* Follow a detailed style guide... we provide characters, prompts, and visual references
* Add light animation and motion design to bring scenes to life (no complex rigging)
What We’re Looking For:
* Proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop
* Strong visual instincts and a love of design
* Comfortable using or learning AI art tools
* Excellent communication skills... we value clarity and responsiveness
* Ability to follow brand guidelines precisely
* Creativity to make complex ideas feel simple and fun
Compensation & Growth:
* $100–$200 USD per video, depending on experience and fit
* Weekly work after a successful test project
* Bonus system tied to channel performance and individual contribution
* Opportunity to grow with a long-term creative team
Bonus If You Have:
* Experience with Kling, Pika, or Haiper
* A background in motion design or graphic design
Our Channel Style:
* The channel covers strange science, surreal thought experiments, mind-expanding ideas, and mysterious phenomena... all with a fun, hand-drawn style.
* Think explainer meets sketchbook... custom visuals, stick figures, science, mystery, and light surrealism.
* Familiarity with YouTube explainer formats like Kurzgesagt or The Evaluat0r

Hey Kim,
Could you please address some of my concerns to help me better understand the project:
- Would you like the test project to replicate the Evaluat0r's vibe exactly, or is there flexibility to infuse subtle personal touches while staying on-brand?
- Is there a visual Bible or mood board you’d recommend reviewing before starting, to fully internalize the channel’s surreal-meets-science tone?
- Is there ever collaboration between the editor and the scriptwriter on timing or pacing adjustments for better visual flow?
- Do you already have organized PSD character kits and scene assets, or will part of the job involve building custom illustrations based on the guide?
- How do you measure success for individual videos — retention, CTR, watch time, or something else?
