Description
I handle everything on the creative and narrative side — research, scripting, voiceover, and direction. I need an animator who can take that and make it visual.
This is a long-term partnership. I'm not looking for one video. I'm looking for someone to grow with.
————————————————
WHAT EACH VIDEO NEEDS
→ Animated maps — locations, movement, money trails, transaction flows
→ Data animations — figures, percentages, timelines coming to life
→ Text and fact reveals — key names, dates, amounts appearing with impact
→ Scene transitions and motion overlays synced to narration
→ Dark, cinematic documentary visual style throughout
AI tools (Runway ML, Kling AI, Midjourney, or similar) are welcome and encouraged — I want us working smart, not slow.
Videos: 10–20 minutes | 2 per month
————————————————
YOU'RE THE RIGHT FIT IF:
✅ You understand motion as storytelling, not decoration
✅ You can animate a money flow diagram or location map from scratch
✅ Adobe After Effects is in your toolkit
✅ You're familiar with channels like Fern or Hoog (or willing to study them)
✅ You're comfortable using or experimenting with AI video tools
✅ You're reliable, communicative, and take deadlines seriously
You're NOT the right fit if your work is built around social media edits, cartoon characters, or bright explainer content. Different skill set — just not what this channel needs.
————————————————
BUDGET & TERMS
Rate: $150 per video (fixed price per project)
Volume: 2 videos per month = $300/month ongoing
Payment: Per video on completion, via PeoplePerHour
I'll be honest — this is a startup budget. The channel is early stage. But the work is consistent, the creative brief is clear, and the budget grows as the channel grows. If you're building your portfolio in the documentary/cinematic space, this is real, regular work with creative freedom.
————————————————
TO APPLY
Send me:
→ Portfolio or showreel (motion graphics work, documentary or dark/cinematic preferred)
→ Tools and software you use
→ Confirmation you're comfortable with the $150/video rate
To show me you actually read this posting, start your message with DARK MONEY and tell me in one line what visual style this channel uses. Skip this and I won't reply — nothing personal, just how I keep things efficient.
Remote. Serious. Long-term. Let's build something.

Hi,
Before I apply, I just want to clarify a few points to make sure expectations are aligned:
For each video, will you be providing a full script with clear visual direction, or should I also be interpreting and planning scenes from the narration?
How developed is the visual identity at this stage. Do you already have a defined style guide, or is part of the role helping shape the look of the channel?
For maps and data visuals, do you expect these to be fully custom built each time, or is there scope to build reusable templates to improve consistency and speed?
How much use of AI generated visuals are you expecting versus fully animated elements in After Effects?
What level of detail are you aiming for in animations. More minimal and clean like Fern, or more layered and dense like Wendover?
What is your typical turnaround time per video once scripts and assets are provided?
Will voiceover be final when animation begins, or should timing allow for revisions?
As the channel grows, do you plan to scale the budget per video alongside complexity and production value?
Once I understand this, I can give you a clear idea of workflow and what’s achievable within your current setup.
Thanks,
Uthman
