I would like to produce a whiteboard animation (I'm also happy to be advised on other video techniques) that explains to users (students aged about 18) how to tackle a particular type of exam question. The video (as in, what is shown on screen) will largely be focused on the wording of the question, which will be a short passage of text which has a question following it and multiple-choice options for the student to choose from.
The video will, therefore, be quite text heavy. Certain sentences will be highlighted within the passage at different times (as they are described in the accompanying audio), and then need to be copied across to the side in a box, so the various sentences can be re-ordered, to explain how the passage has been structured in a particular way.
I would also like some visual imagery (again, I'm keen to be advised on this), so the video isn't too dry. I like the general vibe of the videos on www.wi-phi.com, but my main focus is on students focusing on the strategy of tackling the question, so the visuals cannot be overly distracting.
I have the audio recorded, and it runs to 5 minutes. I have a script which includes instructions on how I envisage the video working (and I have drafted a rough storyboard, if that helps), but I am open to suggestions on improvement/ideas about a different direction to go in. The script without instructions runs to 650 words.
I am not certain about budget - I have entered a rough estimate in that field.
If the video works for my audience, I will be looking to create further similar material.
Thanks.
