Description
Design details: I require 4 simple video animations, to support and market my new dating app.
The first will be an advertising (promotional) animation - giving a brief awareness of the app. The second animation will be a 30 second animation of the problems with today's methods of dating and why people need the new app and what it gives them.
The third animation will be another animation (50 seconds) of why people need the app and how it can help solve current dating app problems.
Lastly a simple 30 sec animation explaining how to use the app.
1) Promotional 'display panel' animation. 10-15 seconds long to run on a loop cycle.
2) Informative animation for approx 25-35 seconds explaining what the app tries to solve.
3) Informative animation for approx 45-55 seconds explaining what the app tries to solve and what are the problems with dating app as they are today.
4) Simple 30 second animation showing how to use the app.
I have the general ideas for all 4 animations. All should have the same style and similar content.
Target audience: 18 - 25 year olds only
Ideas for the visual style: Simple design, with limited colours and depth of animation.
Things to avoid: Complex graphics that detract from the message.
Extra notes: Further details will be provided during project discussions.
I'm interested to see what kinds of animations you have done to date. Im very much looking for simple flat animations. With either text or narrative to support the message.

Hi Iolo
It's quite hard to accept that your budget is enough without a proper understanding of what needs to be done and unfortunately we won't have this until we see scripts or at least your rough ideas in order to ascertain what actually needs to be illustrated and animated. Animation is a strange beast - a minute of simple graphics can be created from scratch in a few hours and yet more complex stuff can take weeks. Without scripts and storyboards then references are usually helpful as they at least give an idea of what you are looking for, e.g. kinetic type, motion graphics, digital character animation, frame by frame, squash and stretch etc. The list goes on but a good animator will have a good understanding of what you want by looking at your reference. You've asked for an expert, the going rate with small studios is £1800 per minute and £18 per second afterwards. This is usually three weeks of work including several days for script development and includes storyboarding, sound design, voice casting and recording, music and many stages of approval between. Of course, you can get it all done for a few hundred quid if you don't mind stock images and animation templates as these save a vast amount of time but nothing unique there. Animation, when properly executed, is both time consuming and expensive. To give an idea, South Park costs an average of $45,000 per minute in animation production. Family Guy is twice this. So explainer videos tend to be more 'motion graphics' than actual animation (as with cartoons on television). What would help most is if you can provide a link to the sort of thing you like and then we can see if it's doable for your budget, or we can even discuss what is or how much what you would like to create will cost. If you want something good I would allow at least four days if not a week for proper development of scripts alone. If you can provide any links to anything you've seen than looks like the sort of thing you are after then this will help hugely.
Thanks
