2D cut-out/layered animation

We are looking for an additional animator to join our project creating short nursery animations.

The style is a 2D storybook animation that feels like a children’s picture book brought to life. Characters and objects appear as layered paper pieces, with subtle movement between layers to create depth. Movement should be simple and gentle, as if paper cut-outs are being animated digitally.

Think Charlie and Lola style.

Technically, this is digital cut-out animation using layered assets such as foreground, midground and background, with slight parallax movement. The illustration style is textured and flat, with a handcrafted, paper collage feel. It should feel warm, friendly and suitable for early years children.

We already have an excellent freelancer working on this project and are now looking for a second animator to support ongoing production and maintain visual consistency.
