Description
Design details: Hi there
We've recently shot a 9 minute low budget sci-fi short film and are looking for a VFX artist to come on board to complete the effects. The work will be quite extensive, but can essentially be boiled down to three aspects
1) There are 2 photo frames which will have footage of babies put inside them. Footage will be provided
2) The background behind one of the characters will be replaced with a near-future image of London. Image will need to be created from scratch
3) There's a TV as a sort of Visual PowerPoint screen where images & videos are featured as holograms & projected in front of the central protagonists in the film.
Attached to this post is a VFX shot list that breaks down the entire film with relevant time codes and descriptions. Also, if you wish to see a final cut of the film, please message me and I'll send you a link.
We understand this may take a while, but we're hoping to have everything done by the end of the year.
Thanks

Hi,
This sounds like an interesting project! I've been looking through your shot break-down document and I've got some questions about all these shots of the futuristic cityscape:
1) Would these shots be entirely CGI or would it be a mixture of real footage and CGI elements?
2) Assuming that filmed footage will be incorporated, are the shots hand-held, tracking or was the camera static?
3) Are all these shots being seen from the approximate same angle, or will several entirely different cityscape views need to be generated?
4) What image resolution are we working to?
My reason for asking is that I recently worked on another project involving futuristic CGI architecture and it took a rather long time, so I'm trying to estimate how feasible so many shots will be on the budget stated.
Thanks,
Howard
