Hello, I am looking for a estimate on hours/price to do a solidworks external water pressure test on a homemade submarine project we have been working on. The test is simply for the cylindrical hull itself. Not any exterior components. The cylinder does not have ribbed stiffeners so it should be relatively simple to make in solid works. It has 2 cylinder towers welded on top of it the main cylinder hull with dished ends with 2 view port openings on each tower with 1" thick acrylic windows on them. I can provide the stats for the metals and acrylic to be entered along with a 2D drawing of what I need in 3D tested at a couple different external PSI pressures.
I attached a photo of the 2D image of what we want done in solidworks in 3D + the real submarine to help you visualize what it is. But what we need for solidworks is "only" the hull itself not factoring the hatches. Our concern is the integrity of max pressure of the hull itself. Not other components.
This is a hobby project. Not a commercial project so budget is limited to people familiar with solidworks, not working on an engineers budget. We are looking to spend less than a couple hundred. We have calculations done outside of solidworks that we spent a lot of money and research on but just want to have the solidworks data to back up our calculations for additional safety consideration more as a piece of mind. So for someone that enjoys a side job. We are looking for those folks. Thanks
