Description
Experience Level: Expert
We’re looking for an experienced Packaging Designer to lead the development of a bespoke packaging concept for a premium alcohol brand.
This is not a standard box exercise. We’re looking for someone who can create something ownable, tactile and memorable — packaging that feels like part of the product experience, not just a container.
The brief:
Design a premium bottle presentation pack that elevates the brand and creates impact both on-shelf and in-hand.
Think unboxing moment, theatre, and physical presence — with a clear understanding of how it will actually be made.
What we need from you:
Proven experience in alcohol / premium FMCG packaging
Strong knowledge of dielines, templating, and print-ready artwork
Deep understanding of materials, finishes, and construction
Ability to design both outer packaging and inner fitments (holding the bottle securely and elegantly)
Experience balancing creative ambition with production reality
A sharp eye for detail, alignment, and finish quality
What you’ll be doing:
Creating structural and visual packaging concepts from the ground up
Designing a bespoke outer box and internal fitment with integrity and precision
Exploring materials, mechanisms, and finishes (e.g. rigid board, magnets, emboss/deboss, foils, inserts)
Producing print-ready artwork aligned to production standards
Collaborating with production teams to ensure feasibility
The kind of thinking we’re after:
Packaging that feels premium, considered, and distinctive
Ideas that go beyond expected formats — clever openings, layered reveals, unexpected details
A balance of bold creativity and technical understanding
Something that people don’t just open… but keep
Ideal candidate:
Detail-obsessed and technically confident
Brings fresh, original ideas — not catalogue solutions
Understands the drinks space and premium cues
Thinks in materials, structure, and experience, not just graphics
