Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
Design details: I would like a full colour detailed 3d model of my dog, that is a realistic likeness, with colour and texture of fur etc. Photos attached. She is a black spaniel with 1 white patch on her throat.
Please note: I do not need you to include printing costs. I just need supplying with the 3d file and I will then manage the print myself.
I want to be able to upload the model to Shapeways and 3d print it in various different sizes and materials of my choosing, including full colour coated sandstone. The model will need to conform to their guidelines so I can upload it without errors. I would like to be provided with a 3d model file in a suitable file format for Shapeways full colour, e.g. DAE, WRL, X3D, X3DB, X3DV. The model will need to be detailed enough to work if I print it in a large size, e.g. 20 cm high; but also scale ok to a small size e.g. 2cm high.
I would like the model to be hollow if possible, to save on my print costs. So the wall thickness will need to conform to Shapeways guidelines. This may not be possible when it gets small as the drainage hole would be too small so if possible I would like your quote to include 2 variants: 1 solid, 1 hollow of the same model.
The dog can either be standing up or sitting down, your choice. I guess the 3d print would be more likely to work well if it was sitting down, to avoid any breakage on the tail etc. It may also be easiest to place the dog on a small base of some kind.
Ideas for the visual style: Realistic 3d model of dog in the photos
Extra notes: Please see the photos attached, I can provide lots more photos before the job starts so you have an accurate representation of the dog on all sides. Please could you indicate your availability when you quote, letting me know when you could start and finish the work by as I would like to send this off for printing in the next week or so.. Thanks!

hi polly what's your budget and do you have a deadline date?
Polly N.08 Dec 2016Hi, I would like to get this printed before Christmas if possible. So deadline is just asap. Budget: as I have not ordered this work before I am not sure of ballparks. I am looking for the most cost effective but good quality solution.
