Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Information for the business: I will sell framed 3d relief prints to tourists.
Design details: I wish to use a 3d printer to produce 3d reliefs of the many picturesque villages around me to sell as souvenirs to the many tourists that we have.
I am an aerial photographer. I can take attractive photographs from the best angle but to turn that into a piece of collectible art I need to do something special. A 3D print that pulls some of the features out of the photo to make a 3d relief.
There is a service called bumpyphoto.com over in the States that gives an idea of what's wanted but I don't want a single photo, I want an STL program so that I can produce them in quantity.
There are numerous villages that I'd like to do in this way but this would be the prototype.
Target audience: Tourists
Ideas for the visual style: Features in the photo have to be pulled out. Each of the photos that I end up doing will have three depths of field, foreground, mid and background. Those in the foreground should stand out the most.
Preferred colors: I'd like the option of using a full colour 3d printer or a single colour.
Urls to draw inspiration from: bumpyphoto.com
Extra notes: Take a look at the photo attached. The fountain is in the foreground, the old shops are the mid and the church is the background.
I know that it is a lot of work to highlight the individual features but this is where the quality will show and this will make the difference between success and failure.
If done well, the same person can continue with the others.
