Freelance Tutor for DesignBuilder (Energy & Daylighting)

I’m looking for an expert to teach me DesignBuilder step-by-step using my real project—covering model setup, energy simulation (EnergyPlus), and daylighting (Radiance).

Goal
Teach me DesignBuilder from zero to results using my live project. I need hands-on coaching to:

build a clean model (zones, constructions, schedules),

run EnergyPlus energy simulations (EUI, cooling/heating loads, HVAC basics), and

run Radiance daylight simulations (sDA/ASE or illuminance targets) and interpret results.

Scope & Deliverables

Guided setup: project units, site/climate (hot-arid), building geometry, zoning, adjacencies.

Constructions & materials: assign/modify libraries, glazing/shading properties.

Internal gains & schedules: occupancy, lighting, equipment, setpoints.

HVAC overview: choose templates, key parameters for a valid baseline.

Energy simulation: run, troubleshoot, and read outputs (EUI, peak loads, monthly profiles).

Daylighting simulation: run Radiance, set grids/timesteps, read metrics/false-color maps.

Quality checks: model validation, common pitfalls, and convergence tips.

Reporting: export plots/tables, screenshots, and a repeatable checklist.

Hand-over: my project file(s), custom templates, and recorded sessions.

Teaching Format

1:1 remote sessions (screen-share).


Session recordings + quick reference notes each time.

Estimated program: ~8–10 sessions × 60–90 min (flexible).
