Exterior Architectural Concepts

I have a English Tudor residence that I want to convert to a Modern Contemporary building. As you can see from the photos, a porch was enclosed and a room was framed and roofed along the right rear side of the building. The design of this side conflicts with the original architecture of the building and I am looking for suggestions to update this roofline to a modern contemporary style. I have been told that a flat roof or slightly sloping roof-line should update the structure into a more modern look. At this point, I am simply looking for concept ideas but the finished designs will require detailed plans to submit to government for approval. I am open to adding modern design features to other parts of the house to tie in the total design. Looking for someone to offer window, color, siding materials and textures(Are looking at Board and Batten vertical texture) Looking forward to what you propose.
