Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: Electronics
Industry: Entertainment
Design details: First off, Im Dyslexic (one of the hardest person to work with due to bad communitcation )
I've made a design of a Switch out of PLA, (depending on how good the conductive PLA is) this will be a test and would i hope only need a few changes in the future to make it work (One can dream)
I am a Maths Based Dyslexic so i know all the Sizes/Angles needed for this, but my kink is on the switch part itself. This is what i need to work on. But i want a working model to start off, to perfect it.
4 parts
Base: Just a connection to let wires come in to the switch, due to it being PLA i am hoping to place wires in and mole around the cable. This will be the Input output
Shell: The main body of the switch that holds the connections, goes from the switch arm to the Base.
Arm: the rotary arm that dose all the connections.
Top: a Lid that holds it all in place
This switch is hollow so that another arm can go in the middle. Ive built it in a 3D Game called Second Life but it rubbish at exporting TUBES/Circules out of the Game, I've tried many free 3D CAD software but its all too complex to me.
I can built it pritty quick within the game but 3D Cad
Target audience: Proto Type Switch, leading to a finished design
Ideas for the visual style: No Visual as its all hidden bits
Things to avoid: going to small, space is always a problem but need to work with what a 3D Printer can handle
Preferred colors: Black/White
Extra notes: Im in to Electronics/Electricals/Guitars/Computers. Playing around with Stratocaster Guitars and changed the circuit. Now it is time for me to Improve it and make it easier to use. With the age of 3D printing i belive i can make the Switch need to give more power to the Guitar user.
This just stage one, will go around a Voloum/Tone Control to give you 7 Ways to select Pickups (than the normal 5) also on the Tone it will give you a MultiTone Controls changing the Capacitor size form 10-50nF.
If this works i will be working on stage two and three, a Coil flip for the Pickups and a Series Switch. These are things i use but i have to ADD to the guitar but if these Designs work would mean you would just change what you got for these 3D printed items giving you more control

I have all these values set out.. The format that i feel happy to express in
Degress From - Degrees To - Diameter - Thickness
045-090 - 60mm - 5.5mm ...
So this would be a ARC that is from 45degress to 90degress and has a diameter of 60mm(radius of 30mm) and is 5.5mm thick.
