Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Create a database with a user interface, with outputs of prints and excel files.
Initial task: database should allow the entry through a simple UI of a basic order form; name, address, phone, email, product, number, price, department. The price should be totalled and this order form given a unique number together with a pick up date, amendable but defaulted to 7 days from today. Once complete, it should produce 3 copies on a receipt printer. The first copy should show a logo and some text, the second should show ‘Yellow’ instead, the third ‘pink’. If paid at this stage, it should be possible to skip to second task.
Second task: The UI allows recall of the entry by unique order number. The total price can be amended. Then the payment method of cash or card can be chosen.
Third task: Ability to enter a manual sale without the order form, just department, price.
Fourth task: Ability to enter a petty cash purchase, which will be removed from the cash quantity for that day, even if this means going negative.
Reports: A print listing all orders input that day, with whether it is paid or not, cash or card, and a total for each, for each department.
A continuous excel output by day, showing department totals, by unpaid, paid cash and card, totalled by week.
A continuous excel output of unpaid order forms with total price and date of pick up.
The excel reports should be updated on one drive in a public folder.
It’s envisaged the database should run on a laptop.

Hi Stuart, do you have details on what printer you are using for the receipts so that I can look at what's involved in printing to it?
Thanks,
Craig
