Data Query & Extraction Tool

To produce a query tool that enables extraction from a database and/or table for one of three different inputs, and deliver the data in a CSV format.

Firstly, a user will need to be able to type in a unique company number and extract all the data associated to the company (typically contact details, 5 years P&L’s, gearing ratios)

Secondly, a user needs to be able to type in a postcode unit, postcode sector, postcode district or postcode area (i.e. SN7 7LW or SN7 7 or SN7 or SN), extract all the companies and all their associated financial data for anyone of these variables.

Thirdly, a user needs to be able to extract companies by their SIC Classification Code and all their associated financial data.

This is not about creating an aesthetically pleasing piece of work but a simple web based query tool and presenting the information in a CSV format. The CSV is likely to be a large unsightly file, but as long as simple things, such as column headings are in place we’ll then use a 3rd party software product for further analysis.

Applicants need a strong understanding of:
• PHP
• HTML 5
• MySQL
• CSS3

And should be able to provide examples of similar projects completed successfully.

We’re a small company with some big plans. We’d hope that this would be the first of many projects and would be looking for a long-term relationship to support our growth either on a project or retained basis.
