Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
My idea is to start a business that merges fine art and numismatic coins. To have a drawing around a coin, framed, that acts as a coin display and a piece of art. I need someone to create an illustration around a coin so the coin and drawing become one. Here are the requirements:
*Must be drawn on quality paper suitable for framing
*Must be able to cut a perfect circle (I have heard there is no such thing but you know what I mean - no jagged edges)
*Must mail the original work to my address and insure that it does not get damaged in the mail. Package accordingly. And do not use the cheapest option for shipping. I do not want to wait months for international shipping (Doesn't have to be overnight air or anything - too expensive. Just choose a shipping option where I don't have to wait more than 2 weeks)
Here is a link of the coin that is going to be used:

Here is a link of pics I took of the coin (it is actually a bit darker, which is why I included the previous link):

Now this is important - Here is a link of a scanned image of the coin. You will need to download and print this image and use it as a reference point for your drawing. The coin is 55mm in diameter and the print out should be to:
https://ufile.io/714qt
Here are your instructions:
Print out the ufile link and make sure the image printed is 55mm in diameter (or very close to it).
The theme of the coin is Year of The Dog 2018 and the drawing should reflect this. Familiarize yourself by reading through this link:
https://www.chinahighlights.com/travelguide/chinese-zodiac/dog.htm
The following elements should be utilized in the drawing:
* Lucky numbers: 3, 4, 9 (Chinese characters would be cool - please make sure you take the time to look them up and make sure they are correct. There is a large Chinese population where I live. Maybe subtle reference aswell? eg 3 roses - you decide
* Lucky colors: red, green, and purple (I think these colours should be subtle and the drawing should mostly match the tone of the dog - please give your suggestions - do you agree?)
*Lucky flowers: rose, cymbidium orchids (google image this with year of the dog to see the chinese style)
And obviously details of the dog should be filled in. To what degree is up to you. The paws and ears definatly but I do not know what you could get away with, with the aspect ratio of the coin. Would it make sense to draw hind legs and the tail? I don't know, I'm not an artist. Please give your suggestions.
*And this is an important detail - The circle you cut should be slightly wider than 55mm so the paper fits nicely over the coin and doesn't crinkle. Maybe 55.5mm? Where the circle is cut depends on your vision. A typical coin display would have the coin in the centre. Since this is an original drawing, it can be wherever the dog is in your drawing.
I do not have any specific requirements for the size of the drawing - let me know what you think is best for your vision.
Also in your proposal let me know what ideas are conjuring up in your mind for the drawing. You don't have to be too specific, just give me an idea of your vision. And what art supplies you will be usuing (ink, charcoal, paint, mix, etc).
I think that about covers it. Please let me know if you understand the instructions and ask if you are unclear of anything. It is an unusuall project so I hope I explained it well.
Thank you.

Hi
Very interesting job. Does it still open for proposals? Would you advice about a timeframe?
Thank you,
