Description
Experience Level: Entry
I'm looking for a colour picture to represent a snapshot of the Plains Indian wars of the 1870's. Its to be the cover of a small set of wargaming rules which I intend to self-publish. It doesn't need to be a traditional fine art painting, but should evoke the essense of the period. That said, I'd prefer it didn't show any actual violence as Amazon will not allow marketing for any books which show violence, suggested violence, or even weapons, on the cover.
I'm thinking something like one or two Cheyenne or Lakota warriors on ponies watching distant soldiers, or maybe a native american warrior riding his horse after a fleeing soldier, perhaps stretching out his coup stick to touch him. I'm kind of open to suggestions on this. It doesn't have to be super detailed or a perfect peice of art as i only expect to shift about 40-50 of these books. I've attached a couple of images which i think are evokative of the kind of scene, but as I say the style doesn't have to be the same and I'm not expecting it to look perfect. It can be done in pencils, pastels, acrlics, even felt tips.
