Description of Business Development: I own two menswear businesses and have recently closed one to focus on the other. I had planned to sell all of the remaining stock from the first via eBay but on registering for an account found that you are limited to 10 items a month to start with.
As I have all the stock currently in my house, selling it gradually isn't something I can really do without my wife smothering me in my sleep. So I am therefore hoping to find somebody who has an eBay account who can assist with adding the items onto their eBay account. I am happy to either pay 15% of the overall sales (in addition to also covering the 10% eBay fees) or alternatively I could pay a reasonable hourly rate for the time taken to upload the stock onto eBay (though I imagine this would end up being a fair bit lower for you than the percentage option).
The stock is all mens clothing, whilst I am happy to defer to your expertise on sales tactics, I was initially going to just stick it all on at 99p each and let it get bid up. I did that with the 10 sales for a few pairs of shoes and ended up with £240 from those 10, so it seemed to work relatively well and means that I can get all the stock out the door quickly.
The good bit is that all of the stock I have is already selling on eBay (average of about £25-£30 per item), so I can provide a spreadsheet of the stock I have and then a link to the listing, which will just make it easier so you don't have to write descriptions or upload pictures you can just copy this over.
Whilst I don't yet have a definitive number as I am just going through it now, I believe I have around 50 pairs of mens shoes, around 40-50 coats and then a small number of additional items (about 10 pairs of jeans, jumpers etc). So I think we're looking around the 120-150 items mark. Cost price I have spent about £6,000 on them, but to be honest I think if we're putting them all on eBay and just letting them get bid up I will probably be looking at about £3,000 of sales. So minus the 10% that eBay take, that's £2700 which we would split. So I think even on the lower end of the scale, you should be looking at around £400 for what will be much less than a days work, as I will provide all the information.
I will also arrange postage for all of the items so that isn't something you need to worry about. At the end of the listings you can just send me the order confirmations and I can package them up and send them from my house with Royal Mail. I am happy to arrange some sort of protection for yourself, so you wouldn't pay me until I provide all the tracking details or until you receive positive feedback for the items so that you know they have all arrived safely. I will post them all within one working day of confirmation so it should be all sorted quickly.
I have added a few photos of the items to give you an idea. I am looking to get started as soon as possible, hopefully there's somebody who can assist me :)
I have set the bidding at an hourly rate, but as above the % would probably work better. I am open to suggestion though and can even pay a fixed fee if you would prefer.
