Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need an expert in TOLATA Law. I invested over £125,000 into my ex partners property with a verbal agreement between us that I would receive 40% ownership of the property. The property which required a full renovation was purchased in her name with the renovation costs being paid by her with money from her divorce settlement. When the renovation works started, it materialised that my ex partner had in fact lied throughout our relationship and in fact did not have any money to pay any renovation costs. It was agreed that I would invest my money into the renovation and that we would obtain a joint mortgage, predominantly borrowing against my salary due to her only working part time. Due to further fabricated stories, she did not sign the mortgage paperwork and took out a mortgage with her son for a much smaller amount that we were due to be borrowing. She lives in the property and has made no attempt to repay me my money or honour my 40% share. I wish to obtain this share in the property and make a possible claim against my ex partner for losses I have suffered due to her actions, particularly relating to fabricated stories told during our relationship. I have a vast amount of information relating to this, including text messages, information from the builders and mortgage company in support of my claim as well as an extensive statement detailing events duering our relationship. A few months ago I had instructed legal representation with my claim and provided all information needed to start my claim, a letter was initially sent to my ex partner notifying her of my claim to which no response was given, then the Particular of Claim was also sent a few weeks ago but I have not had any acknowledgement from the court that this was received. I have requested confirmation from the freelance law company that all paperwork was actually sent but I have had no response nor have I had a reply to my recent email. I am now looking for alternative legal intervention in this matter. Kind Regards Patrick
