Description
Experience Level: Expert
**BACKGROUND**
I'm developing information workflow management software to be launched in the coming weeks. We need to model processes in key industries, one of which is Legal.
This job is suitable for practising lawyers or those with legal knowledge at a university level. You will need to prove your credentials when bidding.
**THE JOB**
Firstly, there is follow-on work available if you do this job well. You will be required to research or use your existing knowledge of processes which involve collaborating around information in Legal Firms.
For example, a legal firm manager/partner may set-up a process where their client and associates are tasked to gather and comment on specific pieces of information in a step-by-step manner; some of these requiring approval from various stakeholders in the firm.
You will write a procedure list for at least 7 common legal firm processes involved in the day-to-day work of most lawyers in the UK. Based on our budget for this job, each process is worth 1 hour spent and £20 - negotiable.
The processes will ideally be grouped in one area of speciality e.g. corporate, IT law, litigation. You can opt to pick one or multiple specialities to cover.
These processes should be detailed enough for us to generate high fidelity information workflow models with approval, email reminder and task setting functions (where applicable) per process. See Figure 1 for an example Workflow Model.
You don't have to draw up the information models as seen in Figure 1, but I'd prefer it if you could. Alternatively, you can write a procedure list per process as follows:
1. Legal Secretary starts new file (Partner must approve, Associate gets review & populate task)
2. Associate requests Document X from client (client gets document provision task) etc.
I've also included user interface diagrams of our software to show you how the process will be modelled (Figure 2) and then executed in terms of document/task collaboration (Figure 3).
If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

**Update** Check out this workflow model for processing medical records in a personal injury case - great example from a specialist workflow provider: http://www.gavelsoftware.com/images/_general/workflow.png
Also this shows the level of detail we are looking for:
