On 17 March 2022, the world's first online safety bill was to introduce new online safety laws was introduced to the UK parliament. More than 24,000 companies fall within the scope of the bill.
New measures include tougher and quicker criminal sanctions for tech bosses and new
criminal offences for falsifying and destroying data
