Description of legal work: Although my PPH account is in my company name, this job is for me personally.
I want someone who is UK based and appropriately qualified. If you are a member of an appropriate professional body and I can verify this, it is a definite advantage.
I want an explanation of the basic points of the law as it applies in my situation (assured shorthold tenancy in joint names renewed after six months), what documentation i should have received, what compensation I can claim for failure to place my deposit with in a tenancy deposit scheme. I also want a similar explanation of legal recourse possible regarding repairs.
I also want an explanation of how they apply in a specific situation i will summarise. I do not need you to check document (tenancy) in detail, although I want you to advise on the implications of an assurance made by email - other than that I want an explanation of my position based on a summary which will not be longer than a few hundred words.
You can prepare explanation on the assumption that I know basic legal principles (I have a fairly good understanding of things like contract law) but bear in mind I do not know much about landlord and tenant law.
I may want also some tips on drafting a letter of demand. At this stage I do not want you do draft a letter of demand or anything more - I may need that later but it is outside the scope of this job.
Given the limited scope I do not want you to spend more than an hour on this, so please quote on that basis or explain why it needs more time.
