Matter:
We are in the TUPE process for 5 staff members currently employed by Bedfordshire County Council at a school. Their employment contracts for running the breakfast and after school club.
The school are outsourcing the provision to our company.
As part of the consultation and measures they have asked if there are any policies we would amend; otherwise they will TUPE across on the existing terms set by Bedfordshire County Council.
We would like someone to review the policies in particular grievance, disciplinary, redundancy, sickness and advise us if this is something we can request to be moved onto our terms (our terms are set by FSB which are non-contractual).
We would also like the employment terms and policies reviewed for anything else that may cause issues for us.
The other issue is offering a broadly comparible pension; we have explored being added as an employer to the LGPS but it’s not cost effective for us; so we were intending to offer a defined benefit contribution scheme through NEST pensions and match the current employer contribution.
We need this complete by Friday as we are currently in the consultation period

- Redundancy policy for schools (Central Beds)

- Consultation letter originally sent
