Freelance Accountant Required for Ad-Hoc Accounts Prep -UK Based

We are looking for an experienced UK-based freelance/subcontract accountant to provide temporary, ad-hoc support with accounts preparation for a UK accountancy practice.

Please note: applicants must be based in the UK and have previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.

The work will primarily involve accounts preparation for SMEs, sole traders and partnerships, taking jobs through to review stage, including the preparation of clear and complete working papers.

Experience required:

* Previous UK accountancy practice experience
* Strong accounts preparation experience
* Able to prepare accounts independently through to review stage
* Preparation of full supporting working papers
* Experience with TaxCalc
* Experience with Xero and QuickBooks
* Good understanding of UK accounting requirements for SMEs, sole traders and partnerships
* Reliable, accurate and able to work independently

This is a remote, flexible and ad-hoc subcontract position, initially to provide additional capacity during busy periods. There may be potential for ongoing work for the right person.

We're looking for someone who can pick up jobs with minimal supervision and deliver a clean, well-supported file ready for review.
