Hi,
I’m looking for an experienced UK-based bookkeeper to help clean up and organise around 12 months of business accounts.
There are a lot of transactions, and nothing has really been kept on top of properly during that period, so I need someone who is comfortable dealing with a messy backlog and getting everything into shape.
The work will likely include:
Reviewing business bank transactions
Categorising income and expenses
Reconciling accounts
Identifying anything missing, unclear, or duplicated
Tidying everything so it is ready for my accountant
Helping create a better system going forward so this does not happen again
I run an online/service-based business, so transactions may include client payments, software subscriptions, contractors, advertising costs, business expenses, and general operating costs.
I’m looking for someone who:
Has strong bookkeeping experience
Understands UK bookkeeping/accounting requirements
Has handled messy backlogs before
Can work independently and ask clear questions where needed
Is organised, reliable, and detail-focused
Can prepare the books properly rather than just rushing through the job
