We are looking for an experienced Business Developer to join our small friendly remote team.
About Us:
We are a boutique RICS regulated surveying practice supporting tenants, landlords and solicitors in legal claims relating to property disrepair.
The Role:
We are looking for someone who is experienced in business development who can do outreach to potential clients, initially via telephone calls to follow up on business development emails already sent. Our aim is to get an appointment in the diary with our director, in the hope that we can win new business.
We expect you to ring our database, to see if they have received our email and to schedule an appointment with our director. We have already set up Calendly for potential clients to make their own appointments and you can use this to make appointments going forward from your calls.
Our business will be explained to you in detail and you will be shown the introduction emails and company presentation already sent, so that you understand what we are trying to achieve.
For the second stage of our business development, you will be expected to source potential new clients and introduce our service to these companies. We would expect you to find new clients and come up with ideas for marketing strategies to engage new clients. You will have excellent writing skills for creating business development emails and be able to close new clients.
All client calls notes need to be recorded on our CRM system so experience of using a CRM system is essential. We currently use Pipedrive, and if you have experience in this CRM that would be advantageous, though training can be given.
As a company we use Slack to communicate with each other so again, experience of this would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone long term who can bring new ideas, develop marketing strategies and win new business.
Excellent written and oral English is essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Excellent oral and written English
• Highly self-motivated/ dedicated
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• (Ideally) a track record of working within a busy fast paced environment successfully
• Experience of Slack
• Interest in people and a willingness to learn
• Knowledge of google docs
• CRM experience - knowledge of Pipedrive is advantageous, but not essential as training can be given
