Intime Group Business (small – medium business accounting) is planned to go through a huge transformation program over the next 18 months. We are estimating that we will purchase up to 5 new businesses over this period with varying sizes from very small to medium size accountancy firms. In the same period the number of staff in the group is estimated to grow between 20% and 25%. The acquisition process will have three stages:

• The acquisition itself and the due diligence activities required,
• The transition of the acquired businesses into Operations ‘business as usual’,
• the ongoing servicing of the clients

As part of this program of change the acquired businesses need to be integrated into the existing business, including the existing infrastructure and applications. The intention is to buy businesses that give “Company2” more regional coverage as well as greater commercial sector experience and therefore the integration will include maintaining offices and also moving some offices to new sites.
The acquisition program may also cover the purchase of clients only, rather than the business itself.
We would like you consider how you would approach transitioning the acquired businesses from acquisition to BAU and present it to:
