Description of consulting work: Looking for someone with access to the Pitchbook Database which deals with Private Equity Data or any other database which has content on the performance and failure rate of both venture capital funds and crowdfunding in the UK. Preqin, Beauhurst, Thomson One may also have this data.

Areas to examine:
Need to look at the failure rate of projects taken on by VC seed funds and early stage funds as well as angel investors in the U.K. I.E projects that went bankrupt and exited the market from 2010 to 2015
Need to look at the annual internal rate of return of VC seed and early stage funds as well as angel investors in the U.K. from 2010 to 2015.
Need to look at the failure rate of U.K. equity crowdfunded projects i.e. failed by either bankruptcy or due to the fact that they were not able to secure funding for their projects from 2010 to 2015.
Need to look at the rate of return of equity crowdfunded projects in the UK. This is done by looking at the most recent company valuation and what the company was initially valued at. The difference divided by the initial valuation gives the capital appreciation in the time period between most recent valuation and initial valuation. This is then divided by the number of years in that period to get annual capital appreciation. We also add dividend to that amount in order to get total investor return. Most equity crowdfunded projects typically would not have paid dividends as of yet. Preqin, Beauhurst, Thomson One may also have this data.
