Description
I use a PC, the latest version of Word and British English spelling. Do not take on this task if you use a Mac or have an older version of word. Please only take this on if you are an expert user of word and very confident with sections, numbering and formatting.
**** This is NOT about formatting an existing document, it is the creation of a template that I can use.*****
It is NOT about proofreading!
If you are interested, please can you confirm that you are able to insert sections, use ordinary and roman numerals in different parts of the document, set up table numbering etc.
The order of contents will be as follows:
Contents item Page numbering
i. the title page No page number
ii. the list of contents including chapters and chapter sections; Roman numerals
iii. the list of figures, tables and a glossary of nomenclature if relevant; Roman numerals (continued)
iv. the preface; Roman numerals (continued)
v. the abstract; Roman numerals (continued)
vi. the acknowledgements; Roman numerals (continued)
vii. the main body of the thesis or critical review; PAGE NUMBERING STARTS HERE – 1, 2, 3 ETC
viii. the list of references or the bibliography; PAGE NUMBERING STOPS AT THE END OF THIS SECTION
ix. the appendices, including a copy of the request for ethical approval and a copy of confirmation of that approval; Roman numerals
The main body of the main body of the thesis will be in 2 parts with 10 chapters
Part 1: Literature Review
Chapter One: Introduction
Chapter Two: Benefits
Chapter Three: Models and frameworks in organisational contexts
Part 2: Primary Research
Chapter Four: Methodology
Chapter Five: Quantitative study
Chapter Six: Qualitative interviews
Chapter Seven: Findings
Chapter Eight: Discussion
Chapter Nine: Conclusions and Managerial Recommendations

Numbering of tables and figures in chapters
All tables will be numbered according to the chapter first, e.g. in Chapter 1 the first table will be Table 1.1, the second table will be 1.2 etc
All figures will be numbered in the same way Figure 1.1, 1.2 etc
They will be automatically updated in the relent contents area
In the body of the text, headings will be used including
Heading 1
Heading 2
Heading 3
These headings will all appear in the contents page.
