Topic research: Market Niche Identification

Topic research regarding the following question: How to identify a good market niche?

Context: In order to start a successful business I need to identify a good market niche to be in and then come up with products for this particular niche.

This task is about a research regarding the identification and selection process for a good market niche to start in. Based on the result of this work I want to be able to find a good starting niche for my next business to build.

Expected results:
- Visual process representation (clean sketch is enough) or a numbered list of items
- Written wrap up of results / insights in prose, max 1 page
- Pointers to relevant sources, around 10
- 10 min online walkthrough session to present the results to me
- follow up research proposals and open questions which could not yet be researched


Results and comms in English are expected and fluent English is a must have. Results shall be delivered in open formats like word, libreoffice or similar. PDF is acceptable as well as common graphic formats for image material.

More complex results are expected to have an overview document like a table of contents.


As mentioned the context is about building successful online businesses, the right market niche is only the first step in this journey. Follow up jobs are likely on successful collaboration and good results.
