Description
Experience Level: Expert
Need this out in excel and also word please.
Weighting: 30% of the mark for this assignment.
In this part of the TMA you will be given some data and asked to use these to make a graph in Excel (or alternative software). The type of graph you should produce is a bar chart. Once you have created the graph, you are asked to describe what the data show. You are not asked to try to interpret the data beyond what the graph demonstrates.
Data for the graph
Imagine that you have been asked by a local police force to conduct some research looking at the number of police lineups in the first half of the year. The data is hypothetically the number of police lineups that were administered over the first 6 months of the year. The police are interested in whether there are certain times of the year where they might need more staff to be at the station to ensure there is someone to conduct the police lineup.
Month January February March April May June
Number of police lineups 40 97 152 160 136 164
Using the data in the table, make a graph in Excel (or equivalent software). Then place the graph into a Word (or similar) document, give the graph a meaningful title and describe what the data represent underneath.
You do not have a word count for this part of the task, but it should not take you many words. You need to describe what the graph shows, but you do not have to explain why there might be different numbers of lineups at certain times of the year.
In the ‘Student notes for Part B’ section you can find more detail on how to approach this part of the assessment, including links to relevant material.
