Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Job Title: Marketing, Operations & Administration Assistant
Employment Type: Fixed-term part-time contract, 2-3 days per week, 17 August – 25 September
Rate: £15 - £20 per hour dependent on experience
Location: Remote **UK working hours only**
Role Description
This is a fixed-term contract position for a 6-week minimum term.
We're looking for an organised, adaptable Marketing, Operations & Administration Assistant to join our team on a short-term basis, supporting a busy period across our events and marketing calendar. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys juggling multiple workstreams and can hit the ground running.
You must be highly organised with excellent communication skills, and experience working within a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with event operations: delegate lists, logistics coordination, speaker and sponsor liaison, and day-to-day administrative support
• Data entry and maintenance of client, contact, and campaign records
• Supporting the production and distribution of marketing materials and communications
• General administrative support to the Marketing & Operations function, including inbox/diary support, scheduling, document preparation, and proof-reading
• Website updates across event websites to ensure agenda, speaker and sponsor information is continually updated as needed
• Ad hoc research and project support as priorities arise during the contract period
About You
• Previous experience in a marketing, events, or administrative support role (B2B, media, or events sector experience is an advantage but not essential)
• Strong organisational skills and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines at once
• Confident with standard office and marketing tools (e.g. Microsoft Office/365; experience with WordPress, LinkedIn, and email marketing platforms such as ActiveCampaign is a bonus)
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• A proactive, can-do attitude – happy to support across a variety of tasks and departments where needed
• Willingness to join company meetings and attend online calls where necessary – this is a client-facing role
• Available for the full contract period, with flexibility for a possible repeat contract in November–December 2026
• Ability to work during UK working hours for 2-3 days per week. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm. We are open to split hours across 5-days provided fixed hours are agreed in advance.
Why Join Us
This is a great opportunity to gain experience working across marketing, events, and operations within a specialist B2B media business, with genuine variety in the day-to-day work and the possibility of further contract work later in the year. Please include the phrase 'Star Candidate' in your application, to confirm you have read the full project description.
