Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
We are a training company with around 50 different courses. We want to establish a relationship with a reliable person with an eye for detail who can help us in the following ways:
- change the format of existing manuals to ensure they are all in line with our new style guidelines, proofed to a high standard
- take drafts of manuals in other formats (fonts, styles etc.) and turn them into manuals that conform to our new style and format
- combine two or more manuals into a new manual, sometimes adding information from other sources (may require retyping some sections, recreating tables and diagrams etc.)
- proofing to a high standard for compliance with style guidelines, spelling, grammar etc.
- taking manuals in our defined format and reproducing it in a client's desired format
There will be an estimated piece of work, estimated at between 30 and 50 hours to get existing manuals into the correct format. After that, demand will fluctuate from nothing in some weeks to up to around 15 hours in other weeks - depending on demand for new versions of courses.
Working to a consistently high standard is essential, as is a very good knowledge of working with Word (currently 2007) - especially using style templates. The ability to proof your own work and to communicate well with our account managers and trainers are essential.
Good Powerpoint skills would be an advantage as we will also be looking for someone who can work on course powerpoint slides as well.
