Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are a learning and development company who run a mix of residential and non-residential training courses for 12-14 people from a single organisation. We also offer 1:1 executive coaching. I have attached a few documents:
• Work Planner – Nov 19 – Oct 20: We use this to book our training courses per client, log sales values, track cost of sales, allocate consultants to training days, summarise total sales, COS, GP and GM.
• Course Recorder October 19: I use this to record actual course sales training fees, expenses, accommodation and food sales and sundries. Our accountant uses this document to create an invoice in Xero. I create one for each month.
• Accommodation Recorder: This lists all the venues booked for our residential based training courses.
• Current Jobs and Tenders – list work confirmed and work at the tender stage
The problem: it would help to have a system where we can:
• Log training days – multiple clients, in multiple locations with multiple consultants on the same day
• Sales Values allocated by day, by client and by project
• Cost of Sales – specific to a project
• Accommodation – costs, margin and venue details
• Expenses allocated to a specific project
• Allocate consultants or labour to a course
• Ensure invoices matches training delivered
• Summarises Sales figures and creates forecast
• Ability to add fixed overheads
• Export calendar or give access to users to view the calendar
• Input details of projects won listing the value and volume of training over a given time period. (current Jobs)
• Input details of current tenders listing the value and volume of training over a given period (current tenders)
Are you able to construct an more coherent system that would solve some of the issues we current have?

Hi Dan. It looks like you are trying to combine a lot of things into one solution, and probably using a piece of software that isn't it for purpose in that respect. Is there a need for these to be combined or could you separate the resource booking/utlisation separate from the profit project reporting and forecasting?
