I own a restaurant and need to update my excel spread sheet for working out gross profit for my menu items. I have a work sheet that I was given by another business and I have filled in the basic items, but don't know how to update the calculations to make it work!!! I have the ingredients list, with the recipe lists and menu lists, but I can't get it all to calculate. I have never used xl and I need a new up to date work sheet that I can update with new items etc going forward.

    Do you want the Excel sheet to be user friendly, so you can update prices and ingredients easily without any prior Excel experience?

    Do you need profit margins to be calculated based on selling prices, or would you like to include extra factors like tax and overhead costs?
    How often do you update ingredient prices, and would you like an easy way to adjust them without affecting past records?
