Description
Experience Level: Expert
Cobra Hydro UK works with water companies, providing essential support during emergency water supply incidents.
These emergencies can happen at any time and may affect anything from a handful of properties to thousands of customers. Our role is to coordinate bottled water supplies and doorstep deliveries, particularly for vulnerable customers on the Priority Services Register (PSR).
We are looking to expand our team of Emergency Response Incident Managers to provide remote, out-of-hours cover on a rota basis.
This is more than simply being on call. When an incident occurs, you will be responsible for coordinating the emergency response, managing drivers and resources, communicating with clients and ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Receive emergency calls and assess the scale of the incident.
Coordinate drivers, vehicles, subcontractors and bottled water supplies.
Upload and manage customer delivery lists using our Emergency Water Delivery App.
Allocate delivery routes and monitor progress throughout the incident.
Communicate with drivers, suppliers and water company clients.
Identify and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Monitor response times and ensure delivery targets are met.
Maintain accurate incident records, reports and handovers.
Plan ahead to ensure sufficient resources are available throughout the incident.
Manage the response from initial activation through to stand-down.
What We're Looking For
Excellent organisation and communication skills.
Confidence using computers, spreadsheets and online systems.
The ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A proactive, reliable and flexible approach.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in logistics, transport coordination or emergency response would be beneficial, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Pay & Working Arrangements
This is a fully remote, out-of-hours position operating on a planned standby rota.
£200 per week standby allowance for being available during your allocated rota week. Hours - 16:00 - 09:00 on Weekdays
24/7 on Weekends - 09:00am Monday morning
£20 per hour for time spent actively working on incidents during the training period.
£40 per hour once you have completed training, demonstrated confidence and competence, and been approved by Cobra Hydro UK to take on the full Incident Manager role.
Emergency incidents are unpredictable, so some standby periods may be quiet, while others may require several hours of active incident management.
We are looking for dependable individuals who can take ownership, think on their feet and help us deliver an effective emergency response when it matters most.
