Description
Experience Level: Entry
I am working on a project and it requires data to be downloaded as a pdf, converted to an excel file, compiled on one excel file with sheets for each day with a given time frame. Please find the steps to doing this:
1. Download Data from https://cpcb.nic.in/upload/Downloads/AQI_Bulletin_20200101.pdf
a. This above link will only show data for one day. In order to get data for the next day or so, changes can be made manually for the link. For example, in the link above the number 20200101 indicates 2020-01-01 (1st Jan 2020). Similarly, since I need data to be compiled for dates after February 1st till June 25th, the same process can be used. Examples could be (Feb 1st, 2020 = 20200201 or June 25th, 2020 = 20200625)
2. The data collected will be in pdf format (file attached for example) and has to be converted using this website - https://www.pdf2go.com/pdf-to-excel. You can either download the pdf or directly upload the URL to this website to convert it to an excel file
3. Do this process for the following dates - 1st Feb 2020 (01-02-2020) till 25th June 2020 - data must include 29th Feb 2020 as it is a leap year
4. Once data is downloaded for multiple excel files, the compilation has to be done:
a. The data for one day must be arranged in one table - there are approx. 96 to 110 cities data recorded and it will be shown on the file. But the data is interrupted by certain words and all, so you have to copy-paste it to arrange it all in one table.
b. There will be 4 files that you have to create: Feb 1st to 24th March, 25th March to 25th April, 26th April to 31st May, and 1st June to 25th June
c. Within each file, various sheets will be there, one for each day.
