Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the business: Financial Services
Industry: Business
Description of excel work: I need someone to customise a cashflow template downloaded from Microsoft. I like the appearance and layout so don’t want this changing too much.
I need some relatively basic changes but I would also like to add a few other features which will need Visual Basic to work.
Firstly, I would like the currency across all of the sheet to be in £ GBP - I've changed some of the sheet but the rest is in $ USD.
I would like to add under the Now column:-
I would like to add boxes for Current Cash Deposits, Regular Cash Savings, Annual Cash Savings Increases and a Cash Growth Rate.
I would also like to add boxes for Current Investments, Regular Investment Savings, Annual Investment Savings Increase and an Investment Growth Rate.
From what I can see the 8 boxes I want above are exactly the same as the current inputs Retirement Savings Balance, Annual Savings Amount, Annual Savings Increases and Investment Return.
However, I want the output of Retirement Savings Balance at retirement to be different than current investments and current deposits. The calculator at the moment just uses 100% of this value to replace any income shortfall, however pension rules in the UK don't allow this.
In the “At Retirement Column” I would like visible un-editable box that shows the projected value of the Retirement Savings Balance (from the inputs in the Now Column).
There then should then be a box which allows up to 25% of this projected Retirement Savings Balance to be taken as tax free cash – the amount selected as tax free cash should then be added to the Cash Deposit Balance.
There should then be a choice for the balance of this fund (ie if 25% was taken, then the remaining 75%) to be taken on level income or indexing income basis (Please note that this remaining balance should not grow in value from the point of retirement)
If level is selected, then the income produced in retirement should be 5% of the value of the remaining fund and should not index at all.
If indexing is selected, then the income produced should be 3.25% of the value of the remaining fund and there should by a box to input the percentage increase.
Please note that this needs to be a separate box from the existing “Annual Pension Increases” box as this allows for income taken from final Salary.
Also I would like three further boxes under the At Retirement Column. One for State Pension, One for the rate of indexation and one to input the age that the pension starts at.
Ok, so all the inputs are set for one person - I would like to be able to add another person. The sheet should allow the choice of one person or two. One person has all of the above inputs, two people should have two lots but all of the information is fed into the same graph.
The final thing I would like is a major expenditure box / column or whatever you thing best. I want to be able to input multiple withdrawals at staged points and the values linked to the rate of inflation.
The input should allow the value in todays money, the time to that withdrawal and purpose of the withdrawal. It should take into account the inflation set in the Now column and show this amount. (this then needs to be deducted from the overall balances of Cash Deposits and Investments but not the Retirement Savings Balance).
For example:
Todays Money £10,000
5 Years
Car Purchase
Future Value £11529.74
That’s it for now but I will probably want further customisation in the future to allow for mortgages, Loans & Credit Cards.
I have no idea how to price this – please bear in mind I could do with this finished for next week. Please do not bid for this project if you are unable to work to this deadline or do not have the technical knowhow to complete it!
