Description
This will be purely desk based research, but you will need to know where to go and what to ask. You will most probably be Level A and B accredited by the BPS (or similiar), and have had several years running tests across a range of publishers.
You should have a reasonable grasp of psychology, statistics and desk based research methods, but most important is access to the market, attitude and experience.
If this project goes well, and we both like how we work together, there will almost definitely be further work available should you wish to be involved.
I will explain the detail of the project as we progress. It's not complicated, but I don't wish to reveal too much here.
You can work at your own pace as long as you complete the project by end of August and update me once a week on progress. I "guesstimate" that there is somewhere around 10 to 20 hours work involved (might be even quicker for a real expert), depending almost exclusively on your skill and knowledge of the market. I have created a fixed price project so that if you are highly skilled you will gain the best benefit.

Hi Chris, is it possible to provide further information on a) Number of publishers to review b) Indication on whether this is primary, secondary based research or both c) Type of metrics to be researched. Many thanks.
Chris R.24 Jul 2018Hi,
The research is primary
The current list is about a dozen publishers (but some have significant libraries!)
It really does need someone who knows the market well. Without significant knowledge of and access to the market it will take a lot longer than than the hours “guesstimated”, and may not be successful.
Olivia W.24 Jul 2018Hi Chris, thanks for getting back to me on this... I understand it needs an expert on psychometric testing and publishers involved... we create tests for employers to assess candidates. If you are looking at the main publishers and their libraries this will involve a significant amount of time... but thanks for the update.
