Description of support work: Human Appeal are looking for an HR / People & Culture professional to help us establish an HR department in our France Office-Paris.
Our France Office is undergoing rapid growth and currently has a team of 25-35 staff, however we need a proper HR Lead.
The ideal candidate will help us manage;
1. Performance management
2. Employee relations cases
3. Compliance/France Legislation
4. Employee engagement and retention
5. Senior Manager support
• Advise and support line managers on the management of their teams.
• Case manage employee relations activity i.e. absence, grievance, disciplinary etc., advising managers on the optimal approach and supporting them through a successful outcome to increase productivity, engagement and satisfaction at all levels and to harmonize working relations all round.
• Input into shaping HA’s group employee relations approach through policies and various means of engagement
• Manage feedback process; determine and improve feedback process and pass on relevant feedback to respective directors and managers.
• Deliver and continuously improve the P&C functions alongside the P&C team, and review and implement developments by keeping up to date with legislation and innovations for continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement improvements to P&C policies.
• Identify P&C process improvements and influence stakeholders to put them into action.
• Take the P&C lead in interviews and input into selection decisions where relevant to ensure the right decisions are made
• Work to imbed P&C best practices across international offices, providing guidance, support and advice when needed, through the use of workshops and training to align all staff with the values and mission of HA and leading to consistency across the organization.
• Support HA managers on the delivery of core P&C processes and the implementation and embedding of P&C initiatives through training to maximize efficiency and awareness.
• Support and manage the P&C team and provide an expert level of support to the Senior P&C Management Team to develop, progress and implement people management solutions in order to achieve HA business objectives.
• Contribute to the updating and maintenance of P&C strategies, and play a leading role within the team to provide support to the Director of People & Culture in continuously improving the delivery of People Services.
• Lead and manage delegated projects as well as supporting to other major P&C projects, as directed by a relevant member of the Senior P&C Management Team, to support the work of the P&C team.
• Build and implement strategic plans to achieve and maintain IIP accreditation by reviewing reports to identify improvements
• Handling of responses and preparation for Employment legal cases arising within nominated service areas, including liaison with employment lawyers, seeking alternative resolution where appropriate
• Act as the local lead on P&C aspects by conducting internal health checks, audits and external inspections to ensure P&C function runs effectively in line with best practice and legislation.
• Have a leading role in restructuring and change programmes including project planning, co-ordination of severance, producing business cases and impact assessments, drafting correspondence, producing P&C case plans and associated risk planning, at all times taking into account relevant legislation and statutory requirements.

We are open to a long term project/agreement. Intermediate to senior level.
Job Requirements:
• Graduate or post-graduate degree, Ideally Membership with CIPD
• 2-6 Years of Experience in a similar capacity
• MS Office Suite, and computer literate
• Excellent written/spoken English, French language a must.
