We are looking for someone that can help us set up Xero and answer a few other accounting questions:
We are a VAT registered company in the UK, where we import items from China and sell on Amazon UK, IT, ES and DE. On import we pay VAT on all the goods and deliver to an Amazon warehouse. From here we sell the goods through Amazon within the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany.
1) We have just recently subscribed to a2x and xero and we need some help setting up the VAT codes for the various Amazon charges and sales (See attached screenshots)
General questions:
What tax can we claim back for other expenses? e.g. mobile phone costs
When we buy items/services in USD from outside of the UK, and there is no VAT to pay. Does that need to be accounted for in our VAT returns?
How do we account for the VAT we pay on import into the xero tool? We receive a C79 form from HMRC?
Can you please advise how much this would cost?
