Description of support work: Payroll Assistant - Part time 1/2 days week (Self employeed preferable). Needs to come into office M19 2LL
A lovely opportunity for an experienced Payroll Assistant/ payroll officer to join a creative firm located on the outskirts of Manchester, M19 2LL.
The role will involve dealing with the weekly payroll of approximately 160 agency staff, including 5 permanent staff. You will be dealing with all processing of the weekly payroll, data entry of time sheets on to the system.
Main Responsibilities:
Process agency staff timesheets and payroll on a weekly basis.
Reconciling payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring all adjustments have been recorded in the accounting software (SAGE ).
Making payments of pensions / payroll giving / Tax & NI by the given deadlines each month.
Retrieve student loan and Tax information from HMRC online service.
Complete and submit year end returns to HMRC using payroll software
RTI
Assist the CEO with bonus tracking and profit distribution (when applicable) to employees .
Arrange and oversee yearly staff pension meetings with Benefit advisors

Experience/skills:
Strong Microsoft Office skills and in particular Microsoft Excel to a high standard.
Knowledge of both SAGE and Xero , although not necessary and training will be given
Skills to be able to provide evidence of payroll experience
Time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
The ability to work well within a team
