Description
Experience Level: Expert
Website URL:
www.TheCactusKing.com
Website running on:
Drupal version 6.1 (I understand that this is old/outdated, but I am not interested in updating the website to a newer version of Drupal right now)
What I need done:
I need a better/clearer way for my clients to checkout on my website. Additionally, I need to add in another payment type (I will discuss this later).
Currently, a client can enter my website, shop and check out in 2 different ways:
1. Shoppers can create an account, shop and checkout
2. Shoppers can shop and checkout anonymously (without creating an account)
When clients go to pay, they currently have 2 options:
1. Paper checks
2. Money orders
As paper checks/money orders are the only 2 payment options and they are submitted the same way, the website does not offer them the opportunity to choose between the two (i.e., “pay by check” or “pay by money order”). Instead, both options are lumped together, “check/money order.” Currently, regardless if a check or money order is chosen, the client simply makes out the check or money order to “The Cactus King” and is provided with our mailing address to send the payment in to.
Instead of just offering paper checks/money orders, my company is now offering an electronic check option (ACH). When a client goes to checkout, I would like them to be provided with 3 separate options (buttons):
1. Paper check
2. Money order
3. Electronic check (ACH)
If the paper check or money order option is chosen by the client, they could simply be rerouted to a seperate page that:
1. Thanks them for their order
2. Explains where to send their paper check or money order (i.e., our address)
3. Reminds the client of their order total
For the electronic check (ACH), the payment button needs to be directly integrated onto my website. In this case, the client would click the electronic check (ACH) button and would be redirected to our merchant service's online portal. Once redirected to the payment portal, the client will enter in their banking information/billing information. I would like their order total to be pre populated in the payment portal's website. If that is not possible, than the client must be reminded of their order total before being redirect to our merchant service's portal.
Finally, I need 2 other small items accomplished. My website currently shows that we use the United States Postal Service (USPS), as our courier. This is incorrect, we use FedEx ground as our courier. I cannot figure out how to change that. I would like to also incorporate the algorithm that FedEx uses to determine shipping costs onto my website. If incorporating the algorithm will take too much time, increasing cost then just switching what clients see from USPS to FedEx Ground will suffice. The last item is restoring the photos on my website and allowing me to once again upload photos. I had an inexperienced programmer working on my website a couple weeks back. He did something that took down a good chunk of my photos. Moreover, when I attempt to load new photos, they do not show up. I need both issues resolved.
Thank you for your time.
