Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
A fabulous opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to help develop our thriving ice cream business by organising creative events (e.g. weddings, parties, farewells, classes, corporate) and building relations with local and London wide businesses.
Ruby Violet creates bespoke ice creams, sorbets and frozen delights of exquisite flavours. Established in 2011, Ruby Violet started off in the kitchen of the owner, Julie Fisher, and now has 2 parlours (Tufnell Park and Granary Square, Kings Cross) plus Barbara the tricycle, Frank the trolley and Billy the van!
All the ice cream is still made in small batches in our kitchen in Tufnell Park, using seasonal fresh fruit, locally sourced where possible. We run birthday parties and classes at our parlours as well as providing ice cream cakes and extravagances for weddings and corporate events. www.rubyviolet.co.uk
As Events Manager you will:
• Work with local businesses to create and organise ice cream related events.
• Research and recommend new activities and events using our parlours, van, trolley and tricycle.
• Act as a brand ambassador, attend networking events and research and develop leads to convert into new clients.
• Be responsible for all stages of organising and putting on events for customers (corporate and private), liaising closely with the Kitchen and FOH staff to ensure events run smoothly and within budget.
To be our Events Manger you will:
● Demonstrate experience of successful and creative event management, ideally in the hospitality or retail sectors;
● Have excellent customer service skills
● Have proven ability to develop and maintain good relationships with businesses and customers and to turn leads into clients.
● Have proven project management experience and be able to meet deadlines
● Be a team player, with a “can do” approach and a willingness to go the extra mile
● Be willing to work evenings or weekends at events (time off in lieu offered)
● Be calm, confident, friendly and professional with excellent communication skills (native level English required)
● Ideally, love ice cream!
Some of the work will need to be on site but it is possible to work from home as well. You will be expected to set up and attend meetings with businesses and plan and attend the events.
