Experience Level: Intermediate
We have recently launched a new language card game called KLOO. Using KLOO cards players can quickly start learning a foreign language. We launched some new designs for making sentences with KLOO cards. These have been very well received and we want to expand our range of KLOO cards into more languages. The cards are distinctive and use a particular colour code system for making sentences - so players can make tens of thousands of sentences within seconds. We are reasonably savvy of IP law but we want some advice on what elements of our designs can we protect in the European Union and we then want to file them. These new cards were launched less than 3 months ago so we are inside the 1 year window for design registration. We want someone who has experience specifically of design registration to cast their experienced eye over what we are doing and tell us what we can and should protect. We would send a sample in the post and you can then formulate a view and advise. I think this can be done in one hour. We will probably file ourselves all being well.
